Special Needs Planning

Planning for those with special needs may feel overwhelming. Our attorneys are here to assist you with finding the best ways to care for your loved ones with disabilities.

 

Special Needs Trust

Legal arrangement created to allow a disabled person to get supplemental income without affecting their ability to receive government assistance. It has to be created by a parent or legal guardian for a person with disability under the age of 65.

 

Pooled Trust

Pooled Trust is managed by non-profit organizations. Disabled individuals deposit their income into the pooled trust in order to qualify for Medicaid, while the money remains available to them.

 



Supplemental Security Income

SSI allows those who are above 65 years old, blind or disabled receive monthly payments as a minimum income for their expenses. It is managed by Social Security Administration but funded by U.S Treasury funds.

 

Social Security Disability Insurance

Benefits are paid to those who cannot work and continue until an individual is able to work again or until retirement age.
